Great/funny thread gives me a chuckle....lol

I can't stomach sausages since I had my gallbladder out.  Same for sausage rolls.  Hamburgers or steak for me.

I prefer well done steak, I can handle a bit of pink, but absolutely no blood.

Impressive dessert!  I reckon I will bookmark that and have a go at it one day.  The video shows it to be a lot easier than it looks.

Agreed Joono, I saw that video the other day, for something that looks so beautiful (seems simple, I havent had a go yet lol) We want pics if you make them in the future 🙂

OK!  I had a go.  They are slightly burnt but still edible.

The recipe said to cook for 40 to 45 minutes, but then when I checked another recipe for the same thing, they said 10 minutes.  I think neither is right and should be 20 minutes.

If you have a go, don't wrap them too tightly because you want the pastry in the middle to cook properly and mine was slightly soft inside.  I think they end up looking better if they are loosely wrapped too.

I will try again another day now I know where I went wrong.

Here is the link again.

Naww they look gorgeous Joono.  I reckon yours look equally as good 🙂 Thanks for posting. I might have a go during the week, and we can compare.

I had mine out a few years ago and can eat anything without any problems. Sausage has a lot of fat and needs bile to digest it. It could be the duct became restricted due to improper...whatever they do to the bile duct. It can be fixed. Just now I googled bile duct repair.

Spoiler
The most common cause for a benign bile duct stricture is trauma to the bile duct during a laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallstone disease. It is estimated that approximately 0.1% to 1% of gallbladder operations may lead to injury to the bile duct with subsequent development of a bile duct stricture.

The previous posts about pricking the skin.....I do that and add water to the pan. It cooks a lot of the fat out of them, the water boils out, then I continue to fry them. It doesn't seem dry to me, love it that way.

I didn't forget them this weekend! Being part Irish I'm going with sausage Patty this morning.

Thanks Jimmy, I'm not too concerned about it.  Sausages and some types of candy are the only things that disagree with me, IMO its actually a good thing!
