Problem getting it out

What do you think is wrong?

I can push it in OK.
When it's in it works OK.
I can pull it half way out and push it back in again OK.
I can take it out if I do it quickly, but, if I try to take it out normally it gets stuck and I can't push it back in or pull it out.

Is it the hole that is worn out? It's pretty old.

Someone please what is wrong with my Commodore key and ignition mechanism?

Heavens - what a relief the last sentence is.

Vaseline?????????????????????

On the key of course - just a slight coat.

For a moment there I thought I may have to give another lesson

It can be worn out but so can the key, I suggest you take it to a Locksmith and ask them, may just need a new key.

I feel your pain.  My diagnosis is to make your "normal extraction speed" quicker; be decisive, take a deep breath and just do it.

Now, my key problem is the access lock on my old "Gertie".   I can lock her, but the necessary extra key-turn to superlock has been known to jam and the driver is locked out.

Following that scenario, a small child appears on the scene.  He squeezes through an opening and

climbs between the seats to pull the door button up.

Oops things got a bit slippery there.Smiley Embarassed
