I don't care what the government does to keep them from entering the country - as long as it works and they don't return I'm all good with it.

With respect, Pepe, that is an extremely shortsighted attitude. It may be expedient today to allow our current Government to put themselves above the law, but none of us can look into the future and determine what kind of government we might have 50 or 100 years down the track.O nce you have granted government carte blanche you establish a precedent and  how do you - or your grandchildren retract that permission if it comes back to bite you?

Well, it's out of character, is all.  (The reaction is not, though   Smiley Very Happy )

The mother does not have dual citizenship. I feel very sad for the children. They will need intensive support and therapy for what they have  experienced. I read that the grandmother suspects that the 14 year old might be pregnant.

the five radicalised mini terrorists?

yep, them too.

Sydney community leaders said that if the children return they will have to re-habilitated. "They are so young they are like puppets, they don't know anything, they have been fed all of this information by their parents and they believe it," said Mohamad al-Hamwi, from the Australian Syrian Association. "Of course the community must help them to change their beliefs, we will have seminars to help them rehabilitate, and to show other parents and children what the cost is of going into overseas conflicts."
