so cops can bash a handcuffed man

and that's ok. Release footage of such a criminal act and that makes you a criminal. No wonder most of them become corrupt useless individuals to a just society. ACAB

Where? When? and how do you know?

ABC news

Just in case you miss it the man charged in court was a fellow police officer. Quite obviously those in charge want corruption to remain.

A GOLD Coast police officer accused of leaking video footage showing his colleagues brutally bashing a young dad in a police station basement is facing criminal charges.

Gold Coast chef Noa Begic was repeatedly punched and ground in to the concrete floor of the station’s basement with his hands cuffed behind his back in January 2012.

While two officers responsible for the attack were given a slap over the wrist, the officer who allegedly leaked video footage to The Courier-Mail is now facing charges including misconduct and abuse of public office and fraud.

Rick Flori was a sergeant at Surfers Paradise police station at the time of the incident and his house was raided by officers from the Ethical Standards Command weeks later.  He was ‘reassigned’ and has been fighting to clear his name ever since.

This is not the first time that a whistleblower of criminal acts has become the person charged.

Most police officers are not corrupt, I did just watch this guy give an interview and I hope he is vindicated. (A slap on the wrist is very minor in comparison to what has happened to Flori.)

I hope he first followed the correct actions for reporting the beating.

Quite correct, most aren't corrupt but you can see why corruption will never be eliminated when those in charge are more interested in protection of the system that fosters corruption than equal justice for all

Corruption will never be eliminated because so many people think it's ok to lie.
