Bandicoot will tell you that Rotties are gentle giants, just like Great Danes. But I've gone right off their mean faces tbh... can't believe I had three in the house at one point...

Rottis, like all big dogs, are basically self-confident ie they have nothing to prove - unlike the little dogs - a bit like little men I suppose. Having said that, they can be trained and/or abused into being savage.

{edit: before I get drowned in dog attack stories. Yes, it is the big dogs that do the most damage, but, it's not necessarily the big dogs that attack the most}}.

Jessicadazzler, you had three Rotties in one house .. Smiley Surprised ... how did you manage that?

Although, last time we were in Alaska, we visited someone living in a log cabin way out in the forest who had three Doberman dogs.  He never had any trouble with bears that's for sure!

Oh my, you did meet with a territorial possessive little dog Mr. Rabbit, glad you came out of it in one piece  xx

Tasfleur, to be fair, one of them was a menace...

What kind of menace Jessicadazzler, do you mean he was overprotective or ? ......

Off for lunch, back later xx

Nah, it was a female puppy that belonged to a member of my family. Unfortunately that certain person didn't want to make any effort to socialise her or train her. Eventually she was quite obedient, but she couldn't stand traffic, people, or other dogs aside from the other Rotties. She had to be put down becsuse we couldn't trust her around the foster kids.

we have had up to 12 Rottis at the one time and mostly in the house.

Are you crazy?

[Pause]

You're crazy!

I guess I should have qualified that - Mum, Dad and 10 pups.
