He also said he could not recall seeing the menu.  He should have just left it at that.  Yeah, right :^O

no that wouldn't be right

Everybody has a price.

If he is owning it...there are more apologies he should make.

OOHH get over it.... Gillard has been caught out yet again and so have most on here... egg on face is hard to wipe off isnt it....

Here have a tsk tsk tsk

September 14 is coming and no matter what Gillard does no one is listening and she and labor are going to be obliterated

S

not even death is sacred

Why would the business owner come out and say that the menu was his and done as a private joke  unless it was???

His business has copped a HUGE attack on lots of pages.. this will do damage to his business... no amount of promises from any party would have made this worth taking on.

This is enough to damage his business for a very long time.

If the situation was reversed would you expect us to be forgiving of Gillard???

I can remember the Aust Day saga... The Libs were angry that the Gillard set Abbott up.... Then we found out that it was a person in her office that acted without authority. We were expected to suck it up and not blame Gillard because it was out of her control even though it came from HER office and HER people...

What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander.

How could Mal Brough make statements about things he didn't yet know (if the email is to be believed) .

If as reported he knew who wrote the menu earlier yesterday and knew that the author was apologetic (how did he know that ?) ...why did he not say who it was and in the context they were written ? If it was as the email received later says a private joke ..why did he not say that earlier yesterday ????? Why would he seemingly protect the restaurant owner and take the flack himself? He wouldn't would he ? That doesn't make sense .

IF and I say IF the restaurant owner had sexually offensive material in the place where his employees work ...he should be held accountable for that, for writing it and for the trouble it has caused for everyone concerned.

as far as the tit for tat attitude some have...personally It's a long time sinse I was at primary school
