You would suppose correctly, however the local volcanic CO2  events are transitory and not part of the long term figures

The Kyoto Protocol was adopted in 1997, and since then, for all the hot air (volcanoes included) produced by politicians and the general population,  the steady rise in anthropogenic GHC continues,  unabated.

Honestly mate, it has oiked it down some part of every day for the last two months. The ground is so waterlogged that there's nowhere for it to go. The city of Carlisle spent 38 million on flood defences that were utterly useless because of the deluge that has been taking place lately, consequently half of the city was awash. People are losing their homes and their businesses at a great rate of knots. Water can be almost as destructive as fire.

One place, Glenridding in the Lake District, was washed out three times in a fortnight. Pretty serious stuff.

Of course 'everyone' knows  those pesky climate scientists are part of a vast, global conspiracy and not to be trusted - why, they even try to convince us that we live in a heliocentric universe, when any fool with eyes in his head can see that the Sun comes up in the East and goes down in the West and therefore must obviously rotate around the Earth.

But the facts are inconvenient................................
