Hubby went to do some work on the truck today which involved the use of the forklift.
He backed the truck out from under cover, then fired up the forklift and backed it out.
Then he noticed the resident Whistling Dick (shrike thrush) fly in under the skillion. Next thing I hear hubby cuss and looked around to see him up on top of the forklift (don't tell WHS) He then climbed down, put the forklift back in the shed followed by the truck.
Due to a slight technical hitch it will be at least a week before he can use the forklift.
He's a good man, Pimpy. 
That is a doozy of a slight technical hitch you've got there. 
This is the second year they have nested in that spot. He'll have to remember to cover it over next year before they start nesting.
Three years ago we found them in the abandoned aviary. They built their nest on top of the nesting box. We had to wait for them to finish before we could move the aviary to the new place.
One year the willie wagtails built a nest inside the grain bins that are used for carting grain to the silos. We didn't know and hubby went sailing off down the road in his truck for the first load of the season and had the poor distraught parents chasing him down the driveway.

Today there was a huge goanna in the tree beside the goondi (home). I reckon he was easily 4 foot long. When I went to show him to hubby half an hour later he was gone.
The fox hasn't been around recently. There's a new bloke staying on the property and he's been eradicating the feral cats. He shot a fox too, so I suspect it was our brer fox
