Can i just share something my Mum made?

She never did anything arty at all that i can remember.

Then in 1993, she started an art class.

These are 3 things that she painted that she gave me. They all have her name and the date she painted them on the back.

She has some other plates around her house and she also painted some tiles and when dad retiled the kitchen, he put her tiles up.

daydream, they all look great. 🙂

If folks here want to show art created by their family or friends, then please post them here so that we can all have a look.

I'm loving this thread and those who have just started drawing/painting are

producing terrific work.  Just a thought for those beginning with acrylics -  have some

fun with them and do abstracts  Just put the colour on randomly and don't think

about it too much, then let it dry and put some more on and build it up.  Also try

using a palette knife,  you can scoop up the paint like butter and dab it on

the paper/canvas and build up really thick texture, it's great fun.

they are beautiful DDB.

They are really well done Amy

Absolutely gorgeous DDB, how talented your dear mother is xx

Meanwhile, um, er, my random painting project is getting a little berskerk, so my question is, can I mix these acrylic paints with water as I haven't got any medium?

I reckon you probably could, but you might find whatever your painting onto gets soggy

Oh dear!  Perhaps I'd better wait until I get back into the city to get the medium, I'm painting on an art canvas pad, sheets are thin canvas ...  :_|
