I took this this afternoon as my MIL was unsure what it was and I needed to confirm my own thoughts going off it's scent, it's a White Lilac.  The scent takes me back many years to my Nan's who had Lilacs, love the scent.

This is one of the most amazing I have. Its a "Dancing queen" hippeastrum. I brought one about 7 years ago and could never get another as I was spellbound when I saw its bloom. It is about 25cm across ... last year they went back on the market so now I have 6 .

The sense of smell is linked with memory and emotion. Some odours will trigger very early memories and associated memories.

I like the smell of cow poo and peppermint

I hate the smell of wild cherry and there's another one, that reminds me of medicines I had to take when I was under 5.

I was hoping it'd come into bloom before the end of the week so I could enter a photo of it.

It's my pride and joy - a choc banana tim tam plant. (Helianthus Lotsazittus).

Smiley LOL

I ate a packet of those on friday Smiley Indifferent

just as well it's a rare plant or I'd have a garden full of them and a bum too big to fit through the garden gate.

Make the gate bigger. Life's too short... Smiley Wink

Thought better of this but........................

This is 'last weeks' family pet & favourite flower.

Two in one.
