What are your thoughts....

Say you were accused of something you hadn't done and suffered some ramifications for it and you message the accuser letting them know they were wrong and asking why they thought you had done this deed - the accuser reads the message but totally disregards it - neither acknowledges they received the message nor that they were wrong.

What would you think?  Would you think they are rude or that they are just to weak to admit their mistake or some other conclusion?

I'm after opinions....

That's an interesting one, I'd think as a courtesy a reply was warranted with an explanation for their unfounded accusation.  It's always advisable if making any form of accusation of anyone that an accuser has evidence to back up their statements and if not well an apology would be in order.

Unfortunately people often take as

Truth third hand information that they

Have heard and like to believe it.

Whether it is true or not can sometimes

Be irrelevant.

Unless you can actually prove that

You are innocent or approach the

Person who started the rumour and

Get them to withdraw the untruth in front of

The third party then I believe you just need

To accept it and move on.

Or you could set a bait as another

Rumour with the third parties prior knowledge

To prove this person is malicious

hmm I think not wanting to admit a mistake - or even acknowledge it

yes. opmania I've noticed that about 3rd hand information

Some people like to

Have a little drama in

Their otherwise mundane lives

And this often causes gossip and

Innuendo

that's true. I've read a few doozies lately  Woman LOL

i'm going to give you the green tick because i think you are right.

Sometimes you just have to let things go and

Move on because some people really don't

Warrant worrying about

pepe I think if someone has chosen to believe something  that's not true/right.. then let it go

(PS thanks for the green tick)  Smiley Happy

you're right again opmania- I think  sometimes 3rd hand information etc. says a lot more about the person spreading the rumours than anyone else - and they are not worth worrying about

if they ignored me, i would assume

they just dont care.

things like that happen on social media

all the time.

if the ramifications are serious ie if you

feel you have a defamation case then

you should do something about that.

if its just gossip with no serious

ramifications -
