In further news we ended up with 6 baby chickens ,

also my miss pet rabbit died 2 days ago

and we had 3 feral kittens in our yard, plus a 5 foot brown snake

which we caught neither

Six baby chickens, that sounds alright.

I'm sorry to hear of your rabbit passing, that's very sad news.

Feral kittens are a pain at the best of times, and so far I've been lucky to avoid having snakes in the yard.

I had a very lively and enthusiastic husky puppy in the yard, once. He was firmly convinced that the fish pond had been put there for him to splash in. The fish weren't really amused by that.
