slow cooker recipes please

Does anyone have any true and tried slow cooker recipes please they would like to share

Not a recipe as such but have always loved doing an old simple classic, slow cooked.

Small lamb shanks with sliced garlic, onion, carrots, potatoes, herbs, spices and bay leaves. (dash of red wine n sugar)

Served with potato mash.

this is my first slow cooker  , so i am very keen to try out some recipes , i did make last night a hearty beef casserole which wasn't too bad it was a masterfoods one.

This is my slow cooker Butter Chicken recipe. It's foolproof and has been test kitchen verified by (I think) youcandoit

Ive given up sewing the cardomon pods.  These days I just tie them up in a little muslin parcel.    I usually make double (or more) quantity and freeze.

thanks lurker sounds yum

And kitchen tested by me. Lots of flavour.

I dont have a slow cooker latina, I just use a large casserole (with lid) and cook low and slow.

I find that browning the meat adds to the flavour, usually with garlic and onions and any spices Im using.

I prefer to buy shoulder and cut any sinew (eww) off myself- I have a good butcher nearby who debones shoulders, so I dont have to do too much! I tend to start from scratch rather than use mixes- I guess I like to experiment a bit with flavours, and its easy enough to add fresh herbs and spices..

This website is pretty helpful- but watchout!- you might be salivating, reading the recipes Woman Happy
