woody wood pecker Tas lol

Woman LOL

our visitors are growing, we now have a hawk and a crow coming here for food.

As for the possoms, at one stage we were feeding 9, one night my OH was out there feeding them when a male possom came in he was stalking the OH  nothing happened though but it is just a friendly reminder to be careful of them.

We did have one old girl who came here it got to the point where she would let us pat her sadly i suspect she just went off and died somewhere  we used to have a possom box up in the tree and she lived there and used to come down at night for food.

we don't have them come visiting anymore  it was strange as all of a sudden they just stopped.

The old male that comes here from time to time has given me cheek, in the past, but he's pretty good. He came in hurt, one time and took up residence in the spare possum box for a few days. He'd hurt his back leg and couldn't sit upright, so he couldn't hold food with both paws. I think he appreciated having his meals finely chopped and delivered to his door. Smiley LOL When he was ready to go, he went. He comes back, every so often.

It's a bit strange that your possums suddenly stopped coming. They're pretty attached to their territories, from what I can see.

i think there were a lot coming over from along the river, there are some buildings there and i suspect they may have been caught and placed somewhere else, just a wild guess  .

it was a shame as sure miss  seeing them every night.

i think they do appreciate it ecar, i am pretty sure the skinny crow that came here 3 times today  for food appreciated it too.

It's a simple philosophy that I have, that if I can show them kindness, even just once, then when their time comes they will die with a smile in their hearts, knowing that someone cared.

very true ecar .
