Kingdom, you say?
If I were King, then I'd get to meet Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark.
Not that I want to sound hasty, but, how soon can I start?

I tried to find pictures of the barley twist confectionery.
Not allowed to call it Barley Twist anymore, due to it not containing any barley.
CONFECTIONER - Barley Twist
Take a small stewpan, put some syrup into it, rub a little butter on a marble stone just to greese it that it will not stick, take the saucepan by the handle then let the syrup run out of the spout along the stone in long sticks; twist it while it is hot at each end and let it stand till cold.
Good job there King MacGyver, on your twisted stirrer

Just a thought - If it could hold an Allen key in it's mouth, it could make a decent living putting together flat pack furniture.

This is Sigourney.
Sigourney Weaver played the character Ripley in the movie Alien.
When you turn Sigourney's handle, the mechanism makes the spines on her back raise and lower, creating a ripple-y (Ripley, get it?) effect.
So Sigourney is called Sigourney because of the the ripple-y effect.
What a nice, simple explanation for a name. ![]()

That's amazing, Ecar. Is Sigourney of your making or a collectors piece?
