How many times have you sat in your comfortable

Chair on NYE poured yourself a glass of wine and

Watched the fireworks displays going on in your own

Backyard .Little or no regard for dogs, or birds or even

Possums for that matter. And have sat in awe of the

Miracle display of 10 tons of fireworks.

Legally controlled and continuously bombing for

The best part of an hour.

How many of you make an exodus to Darling harbour

Every NYR to personally be a party to the fireworks and

Revellers to see in the new year.

How many dogs and horses are an important arm

Of war and police and rescue activities.

Does anyone ever give a thought to their fear of bombs

And cry animal cruelty.no.

They have a job to do and are trained to do it without fear.

But as soon as you catch wind of someone letting

Off a skyrocket in their backyard.

Bad bad person .

It doesn't mattet that they have already told you

They stay home on the most celebrated night of the

Year because of concern for their dogs

Bad bad person.

And in the lead up to the legal explosion of ten

Tonnes of fireworks here IMO a controlled cracker

Or two from a backyard actually softens the impact

Of fear for our dogs and others in the neighbourhood

For that matter.

What freaks dogs out and makes them run away is

The controlled and continuous barrage of explosions

Of which their owners are most likely a party to

And have left their dogs to fend for themselves

Regardless of the consequences

there were people letting off fireworks New Years Eve. in our area, always hard to pin point unless you live a few doors away or something.
the rotters. Our poor dogs are terrified.
ecar, love the jacket , actually i love them both
i always say dress to please yourself and not others.
as you are the one who has to feel comfortable in it not anyone else.

In other news, i made roughly 20 jars of apricot jam
i must say i don't want to see anymore apricots for a while.
also we are now feeding 2 hawks, a kookaburra, umpteen minor birds, 5 magpies and a butcher bird.
