Godsandmen can I ask what software you use on the computer for your artwork. My daughter is 14 and very artistic, she has just started to do her drawings in basic paint.  She has no skills in computer software for digitally enhancing the pics.  She draws them freehand and then redraws them in paint.  Is there something better she can use.

kayza40, she can try GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/ , which is a viable free alternative to Photoshop, and used by professionals in industry.

Just a general question ... how many people enjoyed art classes in school and how many people felt isolated and untalented?

I changed highschools about 5 times. The first three times I took art but always seemed to be doing colour wheels .I think I gave up after that and took french instead.

My yr 7 art teacher was fabulous and made everyone feel taneted, even when we sucked.

I HATED art class because I was not allowed to paint how I wanted to - everything I did was deemed to be wrong.
