Kayza, I wouldn't discount Photoshop as being too technical for your daughter. Having been brought up with computers, kids are usually much more computer literate than us and tend to pick things up pretty quickly.

Photoshop is an industry standard, so if she wants to make graphic art her career, then starting her early in Photoshop would be a bonus. If you already have Photoshop, let her play around with it - you may be surprised how quickly she works it out. Just upload a photo and let her have a play with the filters and tools. There are a lot of tutorials online too, many with video instruction, so she won't have to labour through reading all the instructions.

Interesting she is dyslexic and good at art - my older cousin is also dyslexic and has always been the most amazing artist - wonder if it's linked? Unfortunately my cousin never did anything with it, because that was back in the day when dyslexia wasn't understood/recognised and he was labelled a "dummy" at school - teachers and others completely destroyed his confidence in himself.

Kayza...........one of my granddaughters is slightly dyslexic, and is a very creative artist....so think there must be a connection.
