What does that have to do with  feminism -  3rd wave or any wave. The best protection against unwanted pregnancies is still a condom.

I think it has everything to do with TWF. The phrase "my body my choice" is a feminist mantra. 

That may apply to getting an abortion, but it doesn't apply to getting pregnant - who wears the condom?

tgse, your concept of a "ladylike" woman as a downtrodden submissive is way off the mark. A lady is a woman or girl who treats others with the respect due to them, she doesn't mouth off or whine in public neither does she flaunt her body or dress inappropriately. Prime examples of these ladies are Queen Elizabeth (obviously), our own Julie Bishop and the late Benazir Bhutto and there are also hundreds and thousands of ladylike females amongst us going about their business and looking after their families. To flip off the word ladylike as some sort of insult is offensive.

If the condom was so full proof and taking into account sex ed starts in grade 5 or 6 in most schools, there should be very little need for abortions.  They should only be needed for those who have bocome pregnant from either rape or incest or those who terminate due to the ill health or the knowledge of birth defects, of which most if not all can be picked up via 12 and 20 week ultrasound...

There are women out there who have had multiple abortions, how could they not have learned their lesson from the first time. Yes it takes two to tango, but in most cases the "father" isn't even aware if it happened on a one night stand. It comes back to the my body my choice mentality that keeps the abotion industry rollig to the tune of 80,000 per year...

Which by the way is an estimate because if you can believe this and I'd love it if someone could prove me wrong here, NSW, VIC and QLD dont keep statistics on abortion...

I do know plenty of young people, and some are well behaved and some are not so well behaved.  Just as it always was.  Being a feminist DOES NOT mean sleeping around or taking nude selfies.  That is exactly opposite.  Feminism is about valuing women, not about making them into sexual object.

I agree, we should be teaching children what is appropriate behavior, BUT that goes for both genders, while you seem to be saying that this sort of behavior is only unacceptable if girls do it.  Making it a gender issue is sexist.  And you will be telling us that women have nothing to worry about?!!!  LOL  When trying to explain to people that if women get paid on average 18% less than man means that every time they go to buy something they are disadvantaged.  As an illustration they charged men 20% more for those cupcakes, which sparkled such an outrage, and threats of rape.  OMG!  the poor guys felt discriminated against!  Really, well that is how many women feel on daily basis.

Of course condoms are not 100% fool proof - neither is the pill - but it's a lot easier to forget a pill than to forget a condom and I'd be  willing to bet very few abortions occur because the condom fails. 

The father (not sure why you felt the need to put that in parentheses) may not be aware of the pregnancy, but as you say, it comes down to "my body my choice'" and if a man chooses not to wear a condom, then he is every bit as responsible for any unwanted pregnancy  as the woman. Added to which, how many of those fathers would be willing to maintain and support the children they have so carelessly sired rather than see them aborted?

And consider this, even  if a womanwere to sleep around with dozens of men over a nine month period she ccould still only have one unwanted pregnancy during that time. If a man were to sleep around with the same number of women durng a similar period how many unwanted pregnancies could he be responsible for? Using that logic, it is the sl*tty men nrather than the sl*tty women who are the real problem

I do agree with you that too many women and men are careless about contraception, but shafting the blame onto women simply because they are the ones who are stuck with the end result of this carelessness is unfair, arrogant and a massive copout. 

We have umpteen pejorative terms for women who 'sleep around'. Can you tell me one similarly degrading epithet applied to  men who do the same?
