Oh, Amy, I really feel for you. It's heartbreaking when they linger unnecessarily, when there;s no chance of getting better.
My Mum was like that with her brain tumour, as was my Dad with his cancer. Letting go of life, no matter what the circumstances, seems to be hard. The pull of life is strong.

I hope that your Mum finds peace very soon.

I'm thinking of you too Amy. I can't understand it when people aren't interested in their grandchildren. My father doesn't even remember my 2 youngest's names. He doesn't even know how to spell my name. Or my birthday - nothing. And I know it's lack of interest. It's always been like that even when we were all younger. He's not stupid. It's beyond my comprehension. Hopefully he (your dad) may change but if not you have to live with it.

As to your dear Mum, I believe if you talk to her when everything is still, then she will hear you. I really do.

I totally get the bowls thing Amy my parents are the same they go on and on for hours about it, I upset the Mother person the other day I called it marbles for old people!:^O

I was just being mean coz she wouldn't shut up about Mavis, Betty and Harriet or some such carp! I also told her that they didn't use regular marbles coz they couldn't see them any more! It was not a good day!
