heres a man turning this into a political scare campaign.

he obviously thinks shooting or bashing the dogs to death and chucking them in a pit down the back of the property is much better than being properly euthenized then cremated.

oh yes, i forgot, that was just those darn 'bad eggs'

get real, we are talking thousands of innocent dogs being killed. of course there are good honest trainers who do the right thing but it just makes sense the only way to kill that many dogs and stay 'in business' is to find the cheapest way to get rid of underperforming dogs.

and whats cheaper than nothing?

the few mass graves that have been discovered show its been going on, one can only imagine how many other dumping sites there are.

but of course if you cant find them they dont exist according to 'the industry'

so 'industry' show us the numbers, the numbers of dogs killed each year for the past 10 years and where the bodies were disposed of!

Great news .... hoping atll the other states follow NSW's example and ban this cruel "sport" asap

I wish i could help with the rehab of these beautiful gentle creatures.

I dont think some in the industry have a really good grasp of people's concerns.   In todays paper a spokesperson was trying to justify the industry by pointing out 3 times as many dogs die in council pounds each year....

it seems to totaly pass him by that COUNCIL POUNDS ARE NOT BREEDING  THE DOGS THEY KILL

How do you reason with idiots like that. I also suspect many people who support banning greyhound racing also support banning horse racing, factory farming, live export, show jumping ect all the stuff the greyhound industry is trying to frighten people by saying may be next. ...sounds a great plan to me id love to see many cruel industrys banned.
