Your contemplations joh.

Ya gotta learn to "reply" to the post and the poster you are addressing, otherwise it looks as if you're talking to yourself. 😉

I can't use the quote function on my phone. I used to be able to but now it doesn't show. Same as I can't reply to pms anymore.

Yes you told us which one you gave up. 😊

You're talking me on your phone? how phones have changed when people can talk to me on their phones but I can't hear them talking.

I have an old fashioned desk-top computer. but it does have a flat screen and a half-decent keyboard. 😉

I have a computer too but my son is using it. Yes get an iphone joh. They are a wonderful invention.

Goodnight talk to you soon. xx

'Night mlor.

(I'm resisting getting an iphone. I don't want to forge more chains for my wrists than are necessary. That, and I have few friends who would call me anyway and even if I did, i wouldn't want them to be able to call me when I wasn't "at home".

honestly, I don't need one and really don't want one. once upon a time when I was a teenager, I woke up one morning, looked at my wristwatch on the side-table and dropped it and it broke.

I didn't wear a watch for many years after that and it was a liberating experience.

I'm not a complete techno-phobe but I'm conscious of the fact that the use of this technology can have an insidiously intrusive effect on our lives  . . . and being simple in nature, I prefer  simplicity. When people ask me "who you gonna call?" my answer is not facebook or twitter.

I got an email the other day purportedly from an old friend asking me to contact him on Linkedin. so after clicking the links and giving some info, I was asked by Linkedin to provide for them access to my email contacts list before proceeding.

Do you aggree?  . . . well, no, I didn't. and the message was. "Linkedin cannot access your email contact list". well .... duh. . . and I was unable to proceed. so I didn't.

I'm thinking of finding out if anyone makes a computer which is driven by a steam engine.
