She will not be able to go home until she is able to get up and walk by herself.
My sister rang me through the week. She is not doing very well. I think the happy face she has put on for the last 3 years has finally caught up with her.
She went to see her Doc who did the depression test on her and my sister failed.
The Doc told her maybe it was time to go onto anti depressants but my sister said she wanted to talk to me about it first.
I have been on anti dep's twice, once for PND and once, about a year after Mums accident.
I have convinced her to give them a go.
She then asked me to talk to dad about it.
So last night i spoke to dad and told him what was going on.
Dad was fine with it but one of his comments worried me.
When i talked to him about how, when, my sister sees Mum it makes her sad thinking about what she misses about Mum.
Dad said "Well she should be happy that she still has her Mum around"
He then went on to talk about how you can still talk to Mum, laugh with Mum etc
I tried to say that it wasnt really the same as what it used to be but he was adamant that is was fine and that my sister was lucky.
After i finished on the phone, i dunno, it just felt like dad was just so "used to" mum now that he fine with it and kinda happy with it.
It worries me, cause if Mum were to crash in some way, would he ask for them to resussitate her? Would he ask them to do whatever it takes to bring her back?

Hugest hugs Amy, I hope your sis feels better soon and that you get some sort of resolution at long last, you deserve an ending to all this.

I havent read you thread for a while and didn't know about your Grandma. So sorry to hear she is in hospital.
As for you Dad's reaction if your Mum "crashes"..he will certainly find it very hard to let go I would think.
The only thing I can say, and I realize it sounds so bland, but you have so much on your plate, try not to worry too much about what hasn't happened.
A doctor actually gave me this advice a long time ago, and I have tried hard to follow it. We put ourselves so much extra stress by worrying about things which may never happen, hopefully your Mum will pass peacefully and quietly in the end
Take care of yourself.xx
