......if I may....I will send little notes periodically.....sometimes its nice to know that someone is thinkin' about you....even though there are so many miles between...

As to the question about a "radio station"......I'm not working for/or involved in any radio station....but....I will say this....
If your Dad listens to radio(via the internet) and has heard my name mentioned...
I email a radio station in Perth for the presenters to play "requests" for me...every Saturday/Sunday night(8 pm-11 pm Kansas time)....Sunday/Monday mornings (9 am-12 noon Perth time)...its a station geared toward the "senior citizens" of the Perth area.....its a great station...lots of music I was listening to as a teenager....."Sunday Brunch" programme (9am-12 noon)....
and....the Monday morning programme "Swingin' Down the Lane"(9am-12 noon)...they present music that our Mother would sing to....and...our Mother loved to dance.....we would dance all over the kitchen....GREAT memories....they have helped me to cope with my loss....and for this I am eternally grateful....

I have been doing research of Australia since September 2006.....and....I am so grateful to have found this radio station in Perth..... I listen.....as I do my research....
.....its Capital Community Radio 101.7 FM....they broadcast from Wireless Hill....Ardross(Perth)
I listen via my computer.....does your Dad have a computer that he could listen....its a great station....they are on-air 24 hours a day....
the station is operated by all volunteers....the presenters are all volunteers....
.......great music.....great company during my nights that I listen.....in fact, now that I have a wireless computer....I never listen to a radio station here in the USA.....the Perth station is on all day....I love it !!!

....anyone can listen to Capital 101.7FM from anywhere....its a great station.....

Hi Sylvia- Dad says he googled your name and apparently you have the same name as a lady who works on a radio station.


Dad had a visit from his solicitor during the week. They needed him to sign some forms for the case. They expect the case will take approx 12 months. They are also going to get dad in to see a Psychiatrist in the next month or so

Hey, Amy......I'm thinkin' I do have a fairly common name....I may google my name too....just to have a look see.....

I hope everything works for the good for your Mum and Dad.....it may take a while to have some sort of satifaction in this....but...its good something can be done to give some help to your Dad....

Im cranky

My Mil has been ringing me weekly to complain about her life.
She's says she's depressed cause FIL and my brother in law keep fighting.
You know, she actually said "when they fight i feel like i want to die"
OMG. Thats the hardest thing in life she is dealing with and she can't handle it.

I know, im probably being heartless and I think she just got me on the wrong day but I really had to hold myself back from saying something like "yes, your life is so bad. It must be horrible to be able to move, eat, talk, walk, have a life"

Some people get so caught up in their own woes, that they don't realise how lucky they really are. You're not heartless, Amy.:-x
