A cool change has arrived here too - makes for pleasant eating outdoors in the cool ...... which we did.

No - not the week off .... I worked today BUT I have tomorrow off
It was windy enough to blow a dog off a rusty chain here today .... and quite cold. Local beaches filled with seaweed - such a pity it is illegal to remove it from the beach as it makes great fertiliser for the garden 
Quiet in the town today - so many places making the most of the week between Christmas and the New Year and I did not even realise it was a gazetted public holiday today
Got heaps done though ..... that is probably why lol

Great excitement in Perth with the arrival of the Fed Express for the Hopman Cup (remember what a tennis tragic I am) lol
His practice session is open and free to the public this afternoon - were we not going to see him play next Wednesday I might have skived off from work but think I will give it a miss today and wait for the real deal. The Swiss team will be playing the Germans.
Heading off to the office - might continue the Christmas spirit and have the cricket on the radio whilst I work today (melbourne weather permitting).

Laney - heard on the news this morning Ana Ivanovic has retired at 29yrs
she had been plagued by injuries and felt disheartened not to be playing
at top form. I liked her lots
