He will have to start giving one back when the nurse does a good job of taking his blood!!!;-)

Good luck with the results

Has blood test results.....:-( creatin has gone up 34 to 223 from last test at 198 & sodiumn is too low :-(...but other tests are very stable...hmm might have to adjust a few things......

Dr will ring me if we need to change things...ie we stopped potassiumn last time this may have effected things or may not is just a big jump for the creatin...I didn't speak to Ashtons Dr I spoke to med student so at this stage I have to wait...grr I hate the waiting!!!

OMG Tania I read that as creatinine gone up from 34 to 223!!!

How is his urea level??
It might just be a fluctuation due to increase protein intake, illness,

Didn't you say he is eating and drinking more during the day now...and he is more active as well?

ya dag 🙂

.....I was shocked cause of the huge jump (34) because all readings have been stable hoping this is a one off & not the start of the kidneys failing more.....may have to do another blood test before next trip to the city.....sigh!!

Hope the little bloke is ok Tan. He is getting cuter every time I see him.

Not heard from the renal Dr yet...so I guess we wait...

Chubba had a good day played in the sand pit
then I took him on the bike to get the mail..he was saying go faster go faster LOL...he had a look at the tractor and pickle chain when hubby came home for lunch..chubba told hubby the trailor was broken LOL
Our pullets have started to lay eggs now 🙂 right on schedule...
Chubba's Bed time routine is going great within 5 minutes he is snoring...just got to keep him under the covers.

:-)

Tania I don't know much about kiddies renal disease but in an adult that sort of fluctuation wouldn't be a huge concern, unless it continued to rise.

It sounds like he is eating a lot more "real" food now....could be the impact of that?

If the renal dr hasn't rung...that is probably a good sign!

Tania, I remember your first posts on Chin Wag about little Ashton and I am so, so pleased at how far he has come. Your dedication and love for him shines through and I only hope that, being such a little fighter, he gets the special gift he needs soon. :-x

yep puddle I have told myself that dr will ring if he is concerned...
Chubba has been eating heaps... today he ate a round piece of ham for lunch and mixed vegies (baby food)...munched up the bread and spat it out...
Dinner was more mixed vegies (baby food) he tried the roast vegies but mostly ate peas n beans...has drunk all his bottles & lots of water in between....
After his shower tonight with daddy I weighed Ashton @ 12.7kg :O.
Oh and last test creatin was 189 not 198....up to 223....potassium was 3.7 without the daily dose.

better go to bed or the others will be up doing crazy hair for crazy hair day before I know it..:-)
