We are off to the Pead tomorrow then get the blood tests done....chubba said he will run away 😞 sigh

Aw must break your heart TAnia.....did I ask you about whether you have been offered the EMLA cream or equivalent to put on before he has his blood taken? Topical anaesthesic cream specifically designed for this exact situation but its use has spread to adults who hate needles as well!:^O

yes you have...problem is it takes 1hr to work & there is no way chubba would leave the patches on for the hr it would need to work....will see what happens today.

Perhaps when he is a bit older and you can explain that the cream will take the pain away.....

Or will he swallow the story that it is a magic cream designed for children who have to battle the sharp pointy needle. The patch keeps the magic power in so that it is strong enough to fight the needle. If you take it off too soon the magic escapes?

:^O ]:)

Can you tell I have had a difficult patient for a son as well??

wonders if any results will come through this afternoon?

Bloomin freezing here atm...and more rain...

Got to get Jade all packed up for Camp monday got to be at school by 545am 😮

😞 chubba has to have repeat blood test next week 😞

Oh man:-(...that was when I had major difficulties with the mini-puddle last year...the nurse missed the vein two or three times and tried to draw nothing into the vaccum tube!!! Then when she finally got something it clotted so it had to be repeated....needless to say we went to a different phlebotomist!!

In fact that was when I introduiced him to Ashton...remember how sympathetic he was when I told him Ashton had to have blood taking every 6 weeks indefinitely??

cause the numbers are going hey wire on a few things
