for the moment his temp has gone down..yay panadol thats all I can give him...might try to give him a luke warm bath later when he feels up to it

After 2 minutes of no not getting in bath...Ashton is in there cooling down a bit...still has a horrible cough and rosie cheeks....:)

So far he is sleeping again but still a tad warm...so virtually 12 hrs Ashton has laid on his pooh bear lounge only got up to have a bath...seems to be tolerating the hydrolite atm

Picked up chubba to put him in bed and up come wind n puke all over my shirt n on the floor but Ashton's tummy feels much better...back to sleep now...I'm off to shower asap.....

taking Ashton to the Dr appt 1145am getting him dressed and into the Prado is not gonna be fun NOT......... already been punched n kicked just changing his nappy. Temp is up n down and cough is getting really chesty...

Well Ashton has a chest infection....so Dr said gave me a script for antibiotics @ 6ml x3..I think no way thats too much (18ml) but take the script & get the chemist to fill it...
got home and have spoke to emergency DR at the city hospital he says no too much reduce to 2.5ml x 3 a day because when in renal failure the dose has to be lower..thats what I thought but this Dr was in a grump so I couldn't be fluked arguing with him..He wanted me to drive 100km to see a pead ..I said no Ashton see's his Pead on 14th so I don't think he needs to see another one... also Dr demanded I bring Ashton back if no improvement in a few days so he can do antibiotics via drip which means admit to hospital for a few days...his manner was very abrupt he asked me why I was tube feeding Ashton...I told him he looked at the button tsk tsk I was WTH is his problem...made a hasty exit

Some people are obviously in the wrong profession! I hope that Ashton is feeling better soon, and that you get to have a rest.

I tried to rest...was asleep for 1/2 hr in the recliner then hubby rang up 😐 so that ended the rest....

Ashton sleeping on n off on his lounge...his colour looks better but he still has the "don't touch me" attitude but does say "cuddle me better" every now and then 🙂 have given panadol again...
Had to stock up on Panadol again...200ml & 100ml & Infant plus gastrolyte and antibiotics cost me over $50

Tania what a twit.....so many doctors know nothing about dosage adjustment in renal failure...and pharmacists as wellX-(

If it is your usual GP perhaps a letter from Ashton's consultant outlining basic treatment recommendations might be a good idea...even a copy for you so that you don't have to deal with this carp if you see a different doctor (sure that may be an issue in the country). If he does need to go to hospital for IV ab's make sure that the renl physician dictates the dosage.

In fact I don't think i would let him tocuh Achton...take him straight to his PAed or renal doc if he is not improving.
