Stupid chickens, the last two nights they've all decided to pile up on top of each other in the big coop. Which I don't mind but what got into their chickens brains to make them think to suddenly do it? Up until now all the babies had been going into the smaller wooden coop at night.
Anyway it was good I sprayed them all with bird flea spray ]:)

Clair you might have a scary fox and they are hiding behind each other so they don't become fox dinner, or they could be cold.

Hmm the ones in the wooden coop would not have been cold but I think possibly what happened is, I had put a tray of kibble in there for the young chick and meeces had been eating it, the tray was empty and there was mouse poo all around very near where they had been sleeping.

Starting to know which are hens out of the chicks that hatched because the rooster is jumping on them. There was a really pretty one we liked brown & grey speckles, she's a hen LOL
