gosh once again I leave the building....tsk tsk

Sad I wasn't ignoring you I honestly lost the whole post except for the few words that got posted last night and was too tired to start again so went to bed as we had to be up at 7am...

Now to todays blood test results ...

They are back to being STABLE...wooooooohoooooooo...
Main reason the renal dr was worried is because of the potassiumn was higher than normal...& urea now these if they continue to be higher n higher is pretty much saying kidneys are getting worse and we need to try other things....

We have decided to remove/give less potasiumn rich foods and see what happens...so for the moment we formula feed as we have been but monitor diet more....

I know you weren't tania.So you were saying he had to have dialysis when he was born:-(

Ashton is his own case ..by that I mean he defies alot of the side renal problems (muscle loss/bone density loss etc) I have seen other kidney kids who can't walk as their bones can't hold them up because of weak muscle tone etc some only feed through the tube etc it is quite an eye opener to see how many different kidney problems there are..

Yes you do seem lucky in that regard.Is the aim to one day get his kidney's functioning properly.

Ashtons kidney function won't improve:-( he is between 10-17% thats for the both kidneys....Ashton will need a transplant to live normal....when & if is the million dollar question.
A childs normal creatine is 45 Ashton is mainly between 190-225 as a comparision.

I'm no expert with this renal stuff all I can do is muddle along as best I can.... most of the time Ashton's body is coping sometimes it isn't....Drs monitor the results and change meds if needed the rest is waiting...waiting ...waiting
