There is a new one out without a keyboard but it is NOT a touch screen (in Australia anyway). My advise would be to order it. Or maybe get someone who lives right near a BigW to buy one and post it to you.

No, I got mine from HK.  Brilliant

It has a little square button with a thin 4 way directional button around it. A keyboard appears on screen and you have to use the directional button to highlight the letter you want, then push the middle button.

Oh and the boys have discovered that kindles have dictionaries in them, so now when travelling in the car, they look up rude words in the dictionary and seem to think nobody has ever done that before :^O
