this I wrote on FB last night...

changing Ashton's dressings and doing the clean around the tube site is so agonising listening to him scream and kick 😞 feel so bad having to do it atm
I forgot how it makes you feel...:( but I better toughen up I spose as got more to come!

While changing the dressings I found out why it was irritating him...nurse left some hard clear plastic on the edge of the pad 😞 no wonder it hurt...it is supposed to be pulled off but wasn't!
Wound around the tube has healed well...the scapel incision
has healed but is a tad lumpy...it will settle so they say.

That's way too sloopy Tan, poor little bloke.

Ashton had me up n down last night....between him moaning n dreaming and then kept setting alarm off on machine I feel I may need a nanna nap later on...
This 41 degree weather 😞 for Ashton he can't go in the pool so has been in the lounge room with the aircon on keeping cool...I sat him on the hand basin last night and sponged him a bit with cool water he kept saying "that feels really nice" LOL

:-)

Has just got off the phone with centrelink...had to advise Ashton starting dialysis on 7th feb..got told no changes to payments etc just keep them informed of how long everything takes and contact if I need assistance...so all good atm.

Had Renal nurse ring yesterday she has put through an order for dialysis machine and everything else that is needed for it she said it would fill up a 6x4 trailor 😮 gasp...will be delivered to our door 2 weeks after we start dialysis...hubby had better be home by then 🙂

Nice day today tis warm but not hot like it has been.

Hubby left a huge box of vegies from our vegie garden over at the wool shed yesterday..the shearers & roustabouts emptied it 🙂 corn cob cucumbers squash zuchinni etc better to give it away as there is too much for us and we hate to see it go rotten.

Kids go to school tomorrow but i pick them up in the afternoon as they will have 2 weeks worth of work with them aslo I need to fill in form at the office they need to be done before I go.

It is fantastic that you can do that at home isn't it? I imagine it will make things easier without all the travel.:-x

Ah Tania the joys of dialysis fluid bags! Your home will never be yours again!

was thinking where will I put it all????? better sort a space out some where or leave it for hubby to organise ]:)

From past experience it has to be stored in a separate room, preferably under the house roof as it cannot be exposed to extremes of temperature...so the tin shed out the back is no good. Perhaps a chat with the dialysis nurse would be a good idea?

I know that in the past some of the PD patients I know actually qualified for govt housing because they needed a suitable home to store the fluid and the rest.

Can you imagine the nightmare in a hospital!!!

won't be outside LOL might have a bit more of a think and re arrange furniture in our room.

....quite happy living on the farm Puddles so moving ain't gonna happen 🙂
