One of the old man cockatoos that dropped in this afternoon has a long curved beak - it curves round enough to almost touch him on the chest... The kind of sight that scares little children, ha ha.

He has sitting up on a rail so I handed him a piece of bread...

He leant forward and took it from me very gently, nibbled three or four pieces from it and then dropped it - I didn't really want bread, but seeing as you offered it to me, I thought it would be impolite to say no, ha ha.

He's one of Nature's true gentlemen, ha ha.

Although it suited her single girl lifestyle, and as an owner-occupier the tax concessions were great, there were still days when she regretted buying an inner city unit...

This morning was priceless - The bird sitting outside noticed that I was moving around so it announced itself - "I'm here! Here I am!"...

I haven't shaken this cold yet, so I had a well timed violent coughing fit...

The voice outside changed to a near hysterical "Are you okay? Are you okay? I can't see you!!", with just that subtle undertone of "And you've got the food in there, with you...", ha ha.

I took the food out and the bird said "I'm so glad to see you...", and then looked up from the food, at me and said "I'm so glad to see you, too...", ha ha.
