Which half of her is Japanese?

What nationality is her other "half"?

Is that anything like a blonde, blue eyed, self-identifying aboriginal person being only half (or other percentage) aboriginal?

Just wondering.

People were saying that she should have been drawn as Japanese.  That is not what she looks like.  It is not about self identifying, it is about drawing caricature on what person looked like, and giving them size that indicated the importance of the person in the incident; in this case Naomi being diminished by Serena's tantrums.  Both women were depicted lighter than they are and Naomi has her hair bleached yellow.

i see a common way for cartoonists to show japanese girls looks nothing like a real japanese girl, is it also racist?

Actually, that is how many Japaneese girls would want to look, and some bleach their hair, whiten their skin, they dream of large breasts and have their eyes "fixed".

i know the Cosplay movement,

but i think its kids copying the cartoons not cartoons copying the kids.

the serena caricture is exactly how cartoonists depict people, exagerate features for effect.

for anyone to call it racists is so out of line.

I thought Knight's cartoon of Serena was hilarious.

It was immistakably her.....in the same way that when Tony Abbott was PM he was often depicted as big eared and skinnier than in reality....and of course wearing red speedos. Very unflattering. Smiley Embarassed

Apparently depicting someone in a caricature is only racist if the person is 'not white'.

just saw an ad for chanel 10 sunday night, interview serena by lisa wilkins.

seems girls coaches get caught coaching more often than men.

not much else in a girls favour.
