Heartbreaking.

I do not know the story about these particular koalas.  The problem is that in some areas there is so many of them that they are destroying the trees, and as they are isolated from other forested areas, they will just starve if left there, and that is why some are being re-located.  If some were not relocated the whole community  would suffer.  Unfortunately, koalas do not take very well to being re-located, and usually large proportion of them does not survive.  Only other options are either culling, or trying to reduce their breeding.  There is no easy solution.
