Good news in the tennis Laney.. not so good for the Tigers though... we looked good in the first quarter, but it all fell apart for us after that.

They went to hell in a hand basket Deb OR

if they had wheels they fell off 

We were barracking for them as a friend's Mum (who is also a long-standing Tigers supporter) came through a HUGE heart operation this afternoon.  When she comes around I know she will want to know the result (only teasing) - told her daughter that too and we had a good laugh .... relieved the tension somewhat.

Watching Roger and Rafa now - looks like it may be Rafa's night.  Still early days .......

Anyway, have a pleasant evening - what is left of it anyway.  Keep warm and catch up over the weekend some time

What a wonderful result and an enjoyable match to watch with no grunting or bad sportsmanship 

Good to see Dominic Thiem win through to the final also and to demonstrate such good sportsmanship as well.

Good Labor Day morning everyone

The small felines had a very good win against those tigers & I was surprised that they won by so much,still on a high but feel that a slide will occur soon..Good to see an Aussie win the French Open lets hope she is successful at Wimbledon.Looks like here in Melbourne  todayit will be cold,wet and windy.My 25 year old gas heater died 2 days ago so have purchased a electric heater until I can get a split system installed sometime this week.Having my daughter back here with Maya and Eva it has been hard to keep warm..Oscar is a big wimp but then at nearly 11 he is allowed to be..lol

Nic.. it was a thrashing.. but most of our players are out and injured... so the rest of the season is going to be tough for us

I ran into Nic this morning and I must say she looks great

thankfully she didn't tease me too much about last Saturday's footy match 

ooops last weekend's match.. it was Friday night.. one that I want to forget. lol

Perfect weather for cooking here and our local greengrocer's Saturday morning special is cauliflower at 79 cents each.  Sure beats the $2.99 I just paid for one 

Why oh why did I not wait .........

Not really much news in our neck of the woods - hoping for a boost back into the 8 this weekend but frankly not holding my breath.

Not much into soccer but the results of our girls against Brazil was great.

Friends currently driving round Dorset - having dreadful weather - I told them to blame it on sabotage because of the cricket 

1st July fast approaching ....... Wimbledon ......... local time here in the wonderful west makes it easy for us to watch without having to stay up all night.
