Tell me more, Pepe ... how would I get them into the wood?  There's no room for drilling.

Thank you 🙂

the ones i'm thinking of you can get in picture hanging kits in any cheapy warehouse type store.

i may have even seen them in woolies.

they are only small and you just twist them into the wood by hand.  provided the wood is not as hard as concrete that is.

on second thoughts...maybe you should get a much tougher larger thicker picture frame?

Sorry, Gillie, I didn't even notice it.

But, how cool is a thousand posts on this thread?

Some of the wall paper is pretty thick ... I think that would hide the lumps of wire or strings ...

Pepe, I'm going to use about a hundred strings ...

Another thing I thought of was lace or ribbon ... threads through that and then sticking it on to the underside of the frame???

Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This one is 60 x 90.

Any bigger than that and you'd have to call me O'Brien 😉

I'll try to post photos later ...

a hundred strings?  i'd go buy a cheap staple gun, you would find plenty of uses for it in your creations.

Katy, I am only guessing what your frame will look like. Would two pieces of flat dowel do the job, one for the top and another for the bottom?

If you are using beading wire, you could leave a few cm of wire at the top and after attaching it to the wood, thread a few beads on it and twist them into a flower. At the bottom you could do the same, or use the longer end of wire to create a tassel. ?:|

Then you can attach the top and bottom dowel to the frame, either nail it or glue it on. I also like the idea of using pretty lace.

Just my opinion. I love beading and the idea of a beaded window sounds great.

Erica 😄

Well, I'm giving my day an F in terms of art work.  I just couldn't get anything right ... I guess the storms didn't help much ...

I've checked on eBay for a staple gun, Pepe ... can't find what I want ...

We had pies for dinner and now I'm going to read Dick Francis ... and face the challenges again tomorrow ... which is, of course, another day 🙂
