With the last of the birds gone for the day, and the possums still yet to emerge, I thought I'd pop a ramp in between the pergola bridge and the small table below it...
It's a literal ten minute job - fasten that end, fasten the other end... ha ha...
Mother possum got up while I was still wrestling with it, stopped, looked, and asked what I was doing...
So I gave her a quick rundown - it's a ramp for the birds to make their lives easier getting around...
Okay, she said... Can I use it?
I said I didn't see any reason why not...
Okay, she said, in that case I approve of it... ha ha.
Well, that's the important part taken care of, ha ha, now all I have to do is finish fixing it into place...

I do five situps a day.
It might not sound like much but there's only so many times I can hit the snooze button... ha ha...

The ramp... The What?
I think they've invoked what is loosely termed "The Three Day Rule"... ha ha...
When I build a new addition, they ignore it, pointedly, for about three days, then suddenly it'll be "Wasn't it there all the time?"... ha ha...
They might surprise me and acknowledge the presence of the ramp, tomorrow, but I'm still guessing that Saturday will be the likely day for it to suddenly stop being something strange, and shunned for that reason...
I live in hope... ha ha...
A perfect example was the sub bridges I put in between the bridges, as short cuts...
Why go the whole distance along and around if there's a shorter way of getting from A to B?
That was my thinking, anyway... ha ha...
Their thinking, for the first couple of days was more along the lines of "Nope... Can't see it... It's not there..."... ha ha...
And then one morning I went out and there was a bird, perching on the sub bridge, enjoying the morning sunshine...
Little horrors, ha ha... Why can't they heap praise and adulation on me in the moment? It's not too much to ask, is it? ha ha...

I was giving the car a bit of a clean and I gave the engine bay a once over with the hose, closed the hood and found this lying on the ground...
I can't work out where it goes...
I've been through the manual twice looking for a "710" screw cap, but there's no mention of it....
I'll have to drop past one of the auto stores, later, and see if they can solve the mystery for me...

Mother possum got up, stopped on the bridge and looked up towards the roof...
A minute or so later, she turned around, clambered over the possum house and confidently climbed up the ramp to the roof...
You know, I've seen girl possums do that, before... ha ha...
I won't ask if she's expecting a visitor... It'd be rude of me... ha ha...
When she was a very young possum her idea of courtship was 58 laps of the roof...
Anyone who could last the distance was there fore a suitable suitor, ha ha...
As she's grown older she's become more sophisticated...
"I nominate the place, I nominate the time, I set the pace, there Will be chocolates and roses, and dinner and dancing are a given..." ha ha.
