It takes me back...
All those nights spent at the pub discussing the relative merits of yellow fog lights on motorbikes.
We never did come to a conclusion, but a lot of amber fluid was consumed while we debated the amber lights, ha ha.

Good morning wonderful people ... ![]()
Just after 10.30am and it's been a long day already .. I always know well before Monday when it's definitely going to be a Monday ... ![]()
The fog/frost probably will not lift today at all, but how beautiful it looks resting like little lost rainbows sprinkling across the mountain tops so that the sky is almost not there. At this time, I think about other planets in billions of galaxies and wonder what "morning" means and if there are other life forms, how they wake up and deal with their "day".
So there you go, a little useless philosophy you didn't need this early in the morning ... ![]()
I can't find the "dinner" thread ....
... but last night, I made a pineapple upside down cake from a recipe published in 1946 .. found it on the internet. All went well until the recipe insisted I put the pineapple and cherries on top of the take instead of the bottom of the cake pan. I knew it was wrong, but hey, one has to be faithful to such ancient constructions, so faithful was I, more out of curiosity than brain power.
It baked very nicely and the only dilemma was getting it out of the pan which meant turning it upside down, so now the upside down part, which now should be on top is truly upside down.
Perhaps the moral of the story should be. >>>> upside down is only relative, because gravity is not relative where cake is concerned!
It's definitely going to be a long long long day .... and now Christmas is coming!

The weather man says it got down to 7 last night, which is a fair contrast from the usual low number minuses we get this time of year.
Of course, there's only one true indicator of how warm it was...
Mother possum, who slept in the Toffee house, the spacious, light and breezy "Summer house"...
Phew, it must've been a warm one, ha ha.

Oh come off it.....Christmas is not coming until August when the diaries and calendars for next year start to appear on ebay and in the shops. Even then it is obscenely early.![]()

When I was a young man Christmas didn't start until the end of September.
That's when the lights and decorations went up at the local Westfield, signalling the start of the season... ha ha...
