It really is not as bad as it looks at first glance.

Just because the employer cannot take advantage of the FBT provisions does not mean the Uber payments are not tax deductible at all.

What I do find a bit rude is that it has taken the ATO years to make this determination and now they want to make it retrospective....that could cost employers a lot of money.....quite unnecessarily.
