Rwanda has been a huge eye opener so far. Yes we’ve been to the Genocide memorial.

If that volcano in the background is as close as it looks and had a violent eruption with a massive pyroclastic flow, that town could end up as another Pompeii .... Woman Surprised

It is a majestic part of the country though.

Will you be going to see the gorillas?

There were murders there last Friday night 14 at last count, definitely not going. We’re absolutely surrounded by volcanoes and it’s beautiful.

This was in Kabale, over the border in Uganda. We don’t want to invade the gorillas home anyway.

Hi Donna.  Going to see the Gorillas doesn't actually "invade" their home.  Their home is fiercly guarded and by taking very small groups of people to trek in to see them in their natural habitat raises much needed funds to protect and safeguard them (the gorillas).

The money goes towards guarding them from poachers and keeping unwanted visitors away so that the gorilla families can live in peace and raise their families.  There are very strict rules that people must observe and it is strictly enforced.

It is not the perfectly ideal way, but it is something that is working to preserve and conserve these wonderful primates.

But it must feel like it to them? I wouldn’t want a bunch of gorillas coming into my lounge room while I’m watching television. We already lived that experience last year with the Orangutans in Sumatra, did I post it??i cannot remember.
