I can't find my flower, the book must be still at the old house.

And for those joining in, the Flower is the inspiration, it doesn't have to be a drawing or painting

Thanks for the kind words ๐Ÿ™‚

It's really difficult getting the flowers on the hair pin ... and then it started to RAIN.  Everything is outside on the balcony ... all my current art projects ... I covered it with a book and prayed the rain would stop ... it has slowed down.

I'm treating this as a personal challenge ... I've had the hair clip bases for months and I've been meaning to play with them and make something ... this one's not wearable ... but it's a good exercise to get familiar with how to decorate one NEXT TIME.

Katy, how are you attaching the flowers to the pin? Superglue? Is that how you attached the green beads?

For anyone who wants to paint or colour in a flower without having to draw a flower, then Erica had made the excellent suggestion of googling for flower outlines, then printing them out and then paint them. Feel free to print out and paint this drawing of a flower I made,

This is what the colours look like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nelumno_nucifera_open_flower_-_botanic_garden_adelaide2.jpg

no maybe about it moonlight - i'm always right  ๐Ÿ˜›

I'm experimenting with all sorts of things, Moonlight.  I attached the green beads using beading wire ... I threaded them on first, then attached the wire to the hair clip.  I used magnetic tape (with one side pre-glued) for the first flower.  Others I sewed on ... one I have connected with a bit of memory wire and beads and I might use a bit of ribbon for the last couple.

I probably would have used superglue, but I can't find it ๐Ÿ˜‰ :^O

Oh, some superglue can be really bad for gems and stones if you get it on top of them ... it dries in a cloudy colour - not clear.

Nice flower ๐Ÿ™‚

How is everyone doing?

According to my calendar, there are two days to go.

awwwww nuts

What she said.

Plenty of times, sweeties.  It doesn't have to be perfect ... and in fact, it might be a great idea to post pictures of "work in progress" to get some great ideas and suggestions on how to improve ... I know my flowers "thing" will benefit from improvements.
