Plenty of times, sweeties.  It doesn't have to be perfect ... and in fact, it might be a great idea to post pictures of "work in progress" to get some great ideas and suggestions on how to improve ... I know my flowers "thing" will benefit from improvements.

At this stage, my work in progress will have to be a photo of me finally getting my art/craft supplies out....

I have a picture of flowers that an elephant painted, could always cheat and submit that... πŸ˜›

I WILL make a start on Monday!

Sorry I have not been in here for a few days. Have been off colour and just catching up on all that has happened so far.

Beautiful work by all that have shown their progress. I am impressd.

I have not been able to finish my painting, but I have a few handmade cards with flowers that I will show tomorrow or the next day. My painting I will show when it is finished in another few days.

I had to go to the eye specialist for a checkup after surgery and my sight is still blurry from all the goo they put in my eyes for the tests. I have Macular Degeneration, so I better finish all my art and crafts work before I go completely blind.

Good Night all, and wake to a creative day.

Morning folks. πŸ™‚

Have you finished attaching the flowers to the pins katy? I finished yesterday, but will show it tomorrow. Looking at it now, I think that it would look better with watercolours than pencils.

monsters - would love to see a pic of your craft/art supplies on Monday. If you want to submit that, then that is good enough. :^O

Erica - looking forward to seeing your work. :-x

Hope I'm not sticking my nose in here - I enjoy this thread and have always said that one day I would try my hand.

Wanted I wanted to say is Moonlight, have you seen the water colour pencils.  I use them with my scrapbooking.  You can colour your picture in then paint it with a wet paint brush and it will go like water colours.

Keep up the good work everyone - I am enjoying it.

Hi sandy. I've heard of watercolour pencils, but I have not tried them yet. Will do in the future. Would love to see some of your work. πŸ™‚

Speaking of art gear, here's mine. The pic in the bottom left corner is of heavy books sitting on top of my watercolour pad. I am not using special watercolour paper, so the watercolours(or rather, the water) warp the paper. So I try to flatten the paper, but it's no use.. I could treat the paper by soaking and stretching it, but I can't be bothered.

Will add an easel and some more paints to the gear shortly.

Ooops. πŸ˜›

a man was using those pencils at art class one time Sandy.....the result was quite amazing...but I'd be worried that I'd put too much water on and it would 'bleed' outside the drawn outlines?

What Sandy says is right with the pencils......we both do scrapbooking.

You should try using the pencils and water, you get very good results.

Gill, just start with a little water......you would do better with a spray bottle with a fine mist.

My picture was done with water colour pencils.

Well I'm getting in early because I'll be working all day tomorrow. I have been flat out lately with garage sales, markets and face painting so not time for 'art' as such. I decided at todays face painting job I'd paint a flower on my arm for this thread but got the purple down then was swamped by kids.

But I pulled the face paints out when I got home to finish it, a bit rushed but it's a flower πŸ˜„
