Mum did a lot of embroidery too. tablecloths etc. and copper work in later life, and she used to carve wood too in her early life...I have a lovely cupboard that she made with Grape doors.

It won't let me post the d'arcy doyle, it reckons you've moved or deleted the pic in photobucket.

My mum could make nearly anything and I think her mum could make everything, clever old souls they were.

My Dad was a bit of a whittler in his last few years. I only have one of his pieces I'll put it up later. Everytime I went to vist him his fingers would be covered in bandaids :^O
