Morning all. I'm a sorry (and very cross) little elephant at the moment. After boasting on a thread last week about how I had cured my restless leg syndrome, by taking magnesium chelate, it has suddenly come back to bite me, with a vengeance, and I am feeling very sleep deprived. I'm going back to find the thread and make a note of some of the other remedies suggested. :_|X-(

Bagheera has his appointment with the vet tomorrow - snipping, chipping, vaccinating and general health check - somehow I don't think he is going to be very impressed.

Oh that's bad luck she-ele. Azureline sometimes posts about some sort of weighted blanket that is supposed to be good for restless leg I think.

Well, I'm a little sleep deprived too, Baz the Wonder Dog, who is normally the worst watchdog in the world took it upon himself to start barking and growling at 2am.

I lay there for a bit ignoring him, then thought I'd better check.Perhaps the house was on fire, perhaps there was an intruder?

Checked all the doors, checked all the rooms (freaking myself out while I did it mind you, WTH would I have done if there had been someone there?? offer them a cuppa?), turned the outside lights on. Nothing there that I could see.

By then I was very cold and it took me ages to go back to sleep.

We had an interesting intruder yesterday afternoon. I heard a thump, like someone knocking on the back dood and immediately a gang of kookuburras in our big gum tree set up the most awful outburst of synchronised cackling that just went on and on and on. Eventually I thought I'd better take a look so I went out into the sunroom. OH had left the door onto the deck open and there was a kookaburra flapping round the room, banging its beak against a window.

Well, I wasn't game to to grab it (not with a beak like that on it) so I went to get a blanket to throw over it. In the meantime the cats had come out to see what was going on, so I had to yell for OH and there we were, running around dementedly, fending off cats with one hand and trying to rescue a stroppy bird with the other.
Eventually thank goodness we managed to point it (the bird) in the right direction and it flew out through the open door.
