people like doctors and nurses kinda signed up to be the front line against diseases, its part of being who they are for the most part.

my sister in law is a head nurse at a local old folkes home and she would love to stay home and be much safer, but she cant.

its people like staff at supermarkets and schools and pre schools (im sure there are many others)

they didnt sign up to be front line soldiers against this virus.

but are expected to put themselves in harms way in order to keep the wheels turning.

they are not trained in any kind of health care, the girls on the woolies checkout have bugga all protection, they have to touch things and be reasonably close to customers.

i touch everything i want to buy, she (or he) has to touch them to scan them

maybe we will see the scan yourself things being your only choice soon.

might be the new future of shopping, scan it and bag it yourself, no choice.

I use the self service checkouts in WW or Coles and pay using tap n go

As coronavirus restrictions hit home, more people are shopping online. But will your package even be delivered?

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-06/coronavirus-covid-19-self-isolation-online-shopping/12122834

on one hand we are told 'buy online' during these difficult times

then we are told 'you might not get your online purchases delivered'

mixed messages again?

Easiest way is to put it into your photos first and them click on the little picture above what you're about to  post

(the 9th one along).

Then simply click on browse and it should take you to your pictures folder and you can select it from there.

It will then also put it into your profile pictures gallery from which you can then select it anytime you want.good.gif

Australia's coronavirus death toll rises to 37 after two new fatalities in NSW

the ruby princess is the unwanted gift that just keeps giving.

does anyone know what your treatment is if you test positive?

is it just sitting in your house until it cures itself or do you take drugs?

i just wonder what 2,600 people are doing, are they really crook like a bad flu?

The best way to protect others = like the people working in supermarkets, is for everybody to cover their face.

I did put it into my photos, but all I got was  the still picture,  This GIF goes for quite a while as the people keep taking pictures of the avalanche until it hits them.  I could put link to the original site but it has some explicit pictures above, and I imagine that is a no no here.

Will try the profile picture gallery

Thanks

I usually do as well, when I'm just buying a small amount of items. I usually pay cash at the self-serve, though since the stores don'l like their staff to handle dirty money, lol.

If I have a big trollyeful, I'll go through a manned checkout and pay by card.

I even scan my own rewards card, since they've brought in that little do-it-yourlself gadget.

That way the operator doesn't have to handle anything I've touched, although they wear gloves.

The checkout operaters at my local Woolies are also protected by perspex screens.

I've got feeling things will stay like that even when (and if) the virus has run it's course.
