What can never be known are the asymptotic people that are happily spreading the virus without the slightest clue.
The fact that we went from only people coming into the country having it to suddenly having hundreds of cases and it's difficult to get tested here because you have to have traveled or direct contact with a confirmed case

Realistically how often is an Australian located person in the same room with 10 people or more ? and how critical is it to be there , short term. ?

Everybody who goes to a supermarket or department store. Rabbits with 8 or more kids. Anybody attending a school, using public transport, going to a doctor.
