I need to go to Bunnings for a few things, but I too cannot visit the store. Yet Bunnings and other such businesses are being told to keep operating. But we can't go there! How are they and the other business supposed to operate other than online? Is it just me?
I know things vary state to state (I am in Vic) but my understanding-and I could be wrong as stuff seems to change daily-is that if a place is open and operating, then you are allowed to visit it if it is something you need. But now is not the time to be wandering through for a browse etc. Just got to use common sense.
I can understand Bunnings being open because people might still have things break down in their homes, things that need attending to prettty well straight away, by either them or a tradesman.
If a car wash is legally open then it would be legally okay to use it, surely, as long as you were on the road for a legimtimate reason.
I guess it can be argued that people don't 'need' a hairdresser or car wash. My personal feeling is a car wash might be justified for safety reasons more than a hair cut. But personal opinions don't come into it, all that really matters is the legal situation at the time.

I was going to say something silly like " people now expect me drive around in a dirty car needing a haircut".
But I used to work for someone who would have me wash their car before they would drive to Sydney. Many in Sydney have no where to wash a car and dirty windows can make it hard to drive in the city.
Plus as you say if they are allowed to be open it would give the impression you can use their service.

I would like to know how people receiving Government pensions are
in anyway out of pocket financially by the Coronavirus?
I understand the Government want the $750 handout spent to stimulate
the enconomy but personally I feel that financial assistance would be better
spent on those who are finanacially disavantaged by the pandemic?
I also can't fathom why fishing and golfing is permitted but if we want to go
for a drive to get out of the house, and not out of the car, we can't. Oh yes
and the $750 can't be spent to stimulate the enconomy because we can't
use it because we can't go out to spend it at the shops that are closed. ![]()

I suspect the key would be that whatever vehicle was getting the wash needed to be on the road for a legitimate reason.
I can imagine some trucks and vans might use the service when they are on the move, especially if, as you say, the windows were very dirty.

In Vic all the golf clubs/courses are shut, not sure re on shore fishing but I did see on FB that the many boat ramps are closed. There are still plenty of shops open and there is always the option of buying online. Havent read anything re not being allowed to go for a drive, guess it depends where you live.
As far as the $750 goes, I know quite a few pensioners around here, who are more than happy to receive it. They can now buy a few little luxuries that they could not normally afford. Not all pensioners have spare money sitting around in savings/investment accounts

To clean vehicle windows takes 5 mins with a bucket of water and a cloth.

I understand not every pensioner has savings. My issue is they are still receiving their pensions so not financially
disadvantaged by the current situation. In NSW fishing and golfing is permitted and to be out and about if pulled over
you must have a good reason to be out work, medical, chemist, grocery shopping.

Well if you really dont want/need yours, donate it to a charity. They can then use it to buy the poor some food and help to stimulate the economy
