Queensland Police have handed out more than $24 000 in coronavirus infringement notices overnight after stopping several vehicles allegedly doing burnouts at an industrial area south of Brisbane.

Officers were called to Josephine Street in Loganholme shortly before 11:00pm after reports of vehicles gathering in a vacant car park.

Police stopped 10 vehicles that had allegedly been performing burnouts and issued 18 notices for failing to comply with a COVID-19 direction.

It comes after 58 infringement notices were handed down at a similar gathering at nearby Rochedale on the weekend.

Each infringement is worth $1,334.

Good.

Glad they're doing their jobs.

But what a pita it must be dealing with those half-wits.

What a 'journalistic' beatup.

He didn't breach lockdown rules by visiting his holiday home - he breached them by returning.

He went there weeks ago, before the movement 'suggestions' were in effect, so no breaches of anything.

He didn't leave when the movement 'suggestions' came into effect, thus complying.

He was to forced to breach the movement 'suggestions' by returning to Sydney. Which is almost certainly what he got fined for. And his boss is responsible for, but undoubtedly won't pay herself.

The culprits here are the so-called media trying to find an angle, Justified or not, they don't care. They got a story and justified their pay.

Parasites, most of them.

I think it would have been a no-choice resignation.   Judging by the furious look on her face when being interviewed about him.  Apparently he had been down there before the virus hit, but then came back home then went down there again ...... last week.

$15,000 for a blender, I saw on TV. With rainbows.

Bargain!

Who is Pete Evans? Maybe my non-recognition is a reason for his shysterhood. The name rings a bell, but the face doesn't, so he's not exactly succeeding at the celebrity bit.

To quote from the article - “It says on the clip online, ‘just like you charge your phone, this charges you’.

But don't mobile phones give you cancer??

Some people will go to any lengths to turn a buck...

And what's sad is that some people believe them...
