I bought one years ago and it had the pic painted onto the tapestry canvas and came with the coloured thread, but was unsure then when it came to changing the thread colour.

a large crochet rug of mine with a lining.  can't remember what it's made of the liner i.e. quite a common warm material...used to make winter clothes.

I think I just matched the wools to the colours on the canvas?  as I said I can't remember. lol

Is anyone here into 'Sand art'?

Reason why I ask is that I saw someone on one of my regular weekend markets selling pictures they'd created using all sorts of coloured sand stuck to a canvas.

They looked great but were a bit on the exxy side at a starting price of $100 for a canvas measuring about 20x30cm with no frame around them or anything else.

The seller must be making decent money out of it through because I saw a couple of people wondering around with them later in the morning.

no. never seen any of them Moorna...saw some "paintings" done with coloured sand between 2 sheets of glass in Honolulu tho.

I've been working and having back problems so haven't done much creative stuff for a while.  I made a necklace the other day ... and I have plans for a triple strand one later today.  

Oh, yes, I think it's clouds ... that is going to be a REAL challenge for me.
